BOOTSY COLLINS

Bootsy Collins is an American singer, guitar and bass player who became famous playing with James Brown in the 70's. Collins left James Brown's band after the famous pay dispute they had leading to the departure of Brown's band members. He went back to Cincinnati to form with his brother Phelps Collins the ''House Guests''. After moving to Detroit, Bootsy Collins was invited to join the ''The Spinners'', but Mallia Franklin gave him the advice to join the group ''Parliament'', however, Collins joined ''Funkadelic'', although played on ''Parliament'' as well.  In 1976, Collins along with other musicians formed the ''Bootsy's Rubber Band’’. Bootsy released over 10 albums since his debut album release in 1976.
