Lil Wayne, born in 1982, is an American rapper and hip hop recording artist, active since 1996. When he was 9 years old, he joined the Money Cash Records, becoming the youngest artist signed to the label. He was also, part of the duo, alongside the rapper Lil' Doogie, The B.G.'z.

Lil Wayne and his Money Cash Records label-mates formed the southern hip hop group ''Hot Boys’’, in 1996. The group's most successful album was’’ Guerrilla Warfare’’ (1999), still in that year; Lil Wayne released his first solo album ''Tha Block Is Hot''. His sixth album ''Carter III'' is Lil Wayne's most successful album, until now. Lil Wayne has sold more than 100 million records worldwide. In 2012, he broke Elvis Presley record for having most Billboard chart entries, with 109 songs.
