Red Hot Chilli Peppers are a rock band from California, United States, formed in 1983. The band's ''sound'' are consisted of funk-punk-psychedelic rock. RHCP is formed by Athoney Kiedis, Flea, Chad Smith and Josh Kinghoffer, who replaced John Frusciante, in 2009.  The several Grammy Awards winner is considered one of the best-selling bands of all time with more than 80 million records sold.

Their homonym album was released in 1984, but it failed commercially and critically because of the lack of quality in the production. The album ''Blood Sugar Magik'' (1991), produced by Rick Rubin, was the band's breakthrough even though it had no commercial success.

In 1999, the album ''Californication'' was released, becoming the band's first best-selling album with 16 million copies sold worldwide. In 2002, ''By The Way'' followed the previous album's success peaking number two on Billboard 200.  RHCP belongs to the Rock and Roll of Fame since 2012.
